Chef Tom Beckman
Chef Tom has been teaching baking and pastry for over 20 years. Before that he worked in the top hotels and restaurants of Chicago. He started his career in food service at the acclaimed Le Ceil Bleu restaurant atop the Mayfair-Regent hotel on East Lake Shore Drive.
His teaching began in 1997 at the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. There he found his love of teaching people to bake. Baking and pastry is his true love in food. While there, he found his obsession, bread. He worked at honing his craft both at his school and schools around the U.S.
